Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were blessed and that you experience the true hope found in Jeremiah 29:11, in which God reminds us that He has plans to give us a hope and a future!

With the new year comes some new additions! Singer and songwriter Sara Groves has something new due this year-a baby. Expect Groves and her husband, Troy, to take some time off as they continue to balance a busy career and family.

Skillet's Jon and Korey Cooper have announced the birth of their daughter, Alexandria Christine. The baby girl was 5 pounds, 14 ounces and 17.5 inches long.

Reaching teens for Christ is very much at the heart of dc talk member Michael Tait. On a recent concert swing through Columbus, Miss., Tait and his band spent some time with kids ages 7-12 who were part of an after school program called "Kids Growing In Christ." As with their music, Tait's goal is to get kids excited about their relationship with Christ!

Geoff Moore really hadn't been into NASCAR very much, but with recent events, that has changed. Moore helped celebrate the new construction site of the Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina, a camp founded by NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and his wife, Pattie. The camp staff will help children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The Victory Junction Gang Camp will be the only multi-disease camp of its kind in the Carolinas and Virginia.

Victory Junction is set to open next summer. The Pettys founded the camp in honor of their son, Adam, also a NASCAR driver, who died in a racing accident in 2000 at the age of 19. At the celebration for Victory Junction, Moore performed the song, "When All Is Said And Done," from which the Petty family found much inspiration as they dealt with the tragedy of losing their son.

Nicole C. Mullen spent the holidays on tour with John Tesh. If you saw her in concert, you probably noticed that she is with child! Mullen and her husband, David, are expecting a baby boy in March. No agreement, I mean, decision has been made on the baby's name.

Did you know that the state of Alabama has a music hall of fame? It's true, and if you ever visit, you'll see our good friends 4HIM, who recently were inducted into the hall.

Out Of Eden is heading back to school. Actually, they are developing curriculum for a "This Is Your Life" girls event! Out Of Eden will present these conferences, which will include a six-week series to help girls in youth groups discover biblical principles that are vital to surviving in our culture. They will cover personal destiny and purpose, security and acceptance, modesty and fashion, dating and sexual purity, abuse and parental relationships.

Those serving in the United States Armed Forces were treated to some great information on Christian music in their Stars & Stripes newspaper. Kirk Franklin was one of several artists highlighted in the article, which went to readers in America and Europe. More people are finding out about Christian music, and hopefully, finding Christ as a result! Awesome.

Are you or your kids playing the new Nintendo GameCube game, "Big Air Freestyle?" If so, you'll have Relient K encouraging you as you motocross through 20 tracks! Their song, "Pressing On," is featured on the game.

If you've ever wondered what is happening inside a recording studio when your favorite music is being recorded, we have something just for you. You'll see Audio Adrenaline's studio in Franklin, Tenn., and depending on when you take a look, you might see the guys recording and, no doubt, playing Nerf football! After all, it's a big house!

That's it for now. Stay close to God!
