Billboard Magazine reports that Christian music’s best-selling artist, Amy Grant, has left longtime label Word Records for Sparrow Records. Word has been Grant’s label home the last 30 years, when she began as a teen.
"I had a great run with Word and still love the people there," Grant told
Billboard. "But I feel like EMI is uniquely outfitted to do great things for the catalog. And I've known Bill Hearn (president of EMI CMG) and his father for over 25 years. There's a comfort level there."
Sparrow Records which will now hold her current catalogue as well as new music. Grant has also sold more Christian albums than any other contemporary Christian singer.
