Nashville, TN (April 17, 2008) - Country supergroup Diamond Rio will celebrate their 10th anniversary of being Grand Ole Opry members this Friday, April 18. In addition to a performance, the group will celebrate the milestone backstage with family and friends.
“I only realized that two or three months ago that it was going to be ten years,” shares Dana Williams. “I cannot believe that we have been a part of this legendary institution for a decade. It is truly unbelievable and we are looking forward to ten more.”
Diamond Rio was also recently nominated for the Academy of Country Music’s Top Vocal Group of the Year for the 13th time. Named Grand Ole Opry members in 1998, Diamond Rio has had an illustrious career that includes over 10 million album sales, nine #1 singles, six Vocal Group of the Year awards (Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music) and 13 Grammy nominations.
