PAPA’S CENTRICITY SIGNING

Already boasting the likes of Andrew Peterson, Jaime Jamgochian, Downhere, Circleslide, Jason Gray, Daniel Kirkley and Lanae’ Hale, Centricity is quickly becoming one of the most sought after Christian music labels. The latest artist to join that well balanced roster is insightful worship leader Matt Papa, who’s slated to turn in Your Kingdom Come on August 18. The project was produced by Jason Hoard (Fee, John Waller) and Allan Salmon (Lanae’ Hale, This Beautiful Republic, Seabird), sure to be wrapped around his “preacher with a guitar” songwriting sensibilities.

A NEW SHUFFLE-STYLED STATION

Christian music listeners looking for a radio station as random as an iPod shuffle can now turn to St. Louis’ KEZK where “The Spirit” takes over 102.5-HD locally and online at kezk.com. The extensive playlist was put together by Stel Pontikes, longtime DJ and host of “The Answer” (which remains the country’s longest running Christian music show on a mainstream channel). Expect a mixture of old-school deep cuts and current hits with impressive depth that will even astound those truly plugged into the history of contemporary Christian music.

THE WRECKING TEAMS WITH P.O.D. MEMBER

Alternative rockers The Wrecking are sure to have a leg up on the competition thanks to a management agreement with one of the hard rock world’s most recognized personalities. The group recently entered into an agreement with founding P.O.D. member Mark “Traa” Daniels under Ryot Entertainment Group. Expect a special digital edition of the previously released A New Abolition on June 2, featuring the original album, plus covers of Coldplay’s “Lost” and U2’s “Get On Your Boots.”
