FAMILY FORCE 5 MEMBER FALLS ILL

Those who catch Family Force 5 on its Christmas tour this month will notice one member's missing from the line-up. It turns out bassist Joshua "Fatty" Olds is currently in the hospital with unspecified kidney troubles, a potentially serious problem, but one that's been met thus far with positive spirits and ongoing requests for prayers. KEAGGY'S LATEST CHRISTMAS COLLECTION

Now that Phil Keaggy is an indie artist, he doesn't have to conform to a major label's release schedule. As a result, he just released Welcome Inn: A Phil Keaggy Christmas somewhat randomly on his website, featuring a variety of originals and covers split between vocal and instrumental contexts.

MANDEVILLE'S HOLIDAY SINGLE

Frequent songwriter for other acts turned solo artist John Mandeville already landed at the top of Billboard's Soft AC/Inspirational charts with "Glorify" earlier this year, though he's hoping to reprise that slot with the new release of "Christmas Is You." Thus far he's on the right track with over 50 radio station adds as the tune tells the timeless tale of Christ's birth.
